Introducing Elsie!

This beautiful, 3 years young, spayed, healthy female Shar-pei is looking for a new home. Her family is no longer able to keep her and have asked for our help in finding their lovely and well loved girl a good home.


Elsie's folks told us a bit about her:

Elsie has been good with the other, smaller dogs she has met out and about but has not been around very many dogs her size or bigger. Any time she has been around cats, at friends houses, she is interested but has never been aggressive towards them. She is curious, sniffs and wants to play with them. Her family is sure she would adjust fine to a cat if introduced slowly and monitored when around the cat. She has not lived with other animals.

She has not lived with children but has a close relationship with the almost three year old child of a close friend. Kids would be just fine for Elsie as long as they are gentle companions.


Elsie is usually a bit protective at first when meeting new people but normally warms up quickly. She may be protective of her home and vehicle but is fine with people once you show you know them and there is no need for her protection.


A volunteer will be meeting with Elsie and will provide more information about her once they have met, more photos and video will be posted here and on Facebook too! Come back to see more Elsie and if you are interested in foster or adoption please contact us asap. It would be so wonderful to have Elsie move slowly from her home to a new home. It will be less stressful for her to meet new people a few times before moving in to a new situation, new people and new home all at the same time.
